The skeletal bones discovered in the Fredericksburg, Pennsylvania, region have been recognized as belonging to a man who has been absent since October.
The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office said that Terrence Darryl Smith, 33, of New York, was reported missing on November 1 while visiting a friend in the area on October 28.
The female acquaintance he was visiting persuaded his family to declare him missing. Authorities confirmed that Smith’s advanced-stage decomposition human remains, discovered on November 16 close to the female friend’s Timber Ridge Townhouse residence, had been adequately identified.
The cause of death is yet unknown. Detectives are intensively investigating the event.
