On December 5 at 4:20 p.m., officers from the Neighborhood Enforcement Team conducted a traffic stop in the 2200 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf, Md. As they approached the vehicle, the officers immediately noticed a strong smell of cannabis.
Jeffery Allen Fenwick, an 18-year-old resident of Indian Head, and Christopher Jamari Paris, also 18, from Washington, D.C., were taken into custody after a thorough investigation uncovered their possession of a loaded firearm that lacked a serial number. The charges brought against them include illegal possession of a regulated firearm, possession of a firearm without a serial number, as well as carrying a handgun on their person, among other related offenses.
Fenwick and Paris were released from the Charles County Detention Center on December 6 by a district court commissioner. They were granted an unsecured $5,000 bond. The investigation into their case is still ongoing.
