Police Say Teenager Shot Multiple Times In Daylight Attack in NYC

MocobizsceneIn a shocking incident on Monday, a teenager was shot multiple times in broad daylight in the Bronx. This incident is just one of the three instances of gun violence that occurred in New York City within a 15-hour period, according to authorities.

A series of shootings in the Bronx on Sunday night left three people injured, including an 18-year-old victim, and resulted in the death of a 45-year-old man, according to the police.

A teenager was shot multiple times in Williamsbridge around 11:30 a.m. The incident took place at the intersection of Boston Road and Wilson Avenue. The victim suffered two gunshot wounds to the chest and one to the right arm. He was immediately rushed to Jacobi Medical Center for treatment. Fortunately, it is expected that he will survive the attack. The police are currently investigating the incident.

According to the police, a man in his 20s, who was last seen wearing a black hoodie, fled the scene after the shooting occurred.

A video shared on Citizen captures NYPD officers stationed outside a deli on the street corner, while crime scene tape cordons off the vicinity.

The police did not immediately provide the motive for the violence.

Two men, aged 37 and 27, sustained injuries in a shooting outside a bar and lounge in upper Manhattan, according to the police. The incident took place just before midnight.

Authorities said that at around 11:56 p.m., the older man was shot once in the right leg and the younger victim was struck in the torso on West 203rd Street near 10th Avenue in Inwood.

Both of them were transported to the Metropolitan Hospital Center, where they received treatment for their injuries, which fortunately were not life-threatening. Police said they were investigating the circumstances.

The police reported that he was brought to Lincoln Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. Police are currently investigating the motive behind the incident. The family notification is pending, and as of Monday afternoon, the identity of the deceased man has not been made public.

Law enforcement officials have not made any arrests in connection with the three shootings. According to the most recent data from the NYPD, which was last updated on December 3rd, there has been a decrease of approximately 25% in shootings across the five boroughs compared to the same period last year.

According to the police, there has been a decline in the number of shooting incidents in the city. As of the compilation of the data, there were 1,071 reported victims of 911 incidents, which is lower compared to the 1,472 victims from 1,216 shootings during the same period in 2022.
