TAKOMA PARK, Maryland: “I couldn’t believe it,” a Murat Pacal relative stated in a Monday afternoon interview with WUSA9. He requested anonymity because he and his family remain horrified and concerned for their safety after the incident.
He told WUSA9 that Pascal, whose alias was Ronih, was extraordinary.
“He was always around; if you needed something, it didn’t matter how far you were,” he asserted.
Tuesday, December 5th, shortly after 3 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 6700 block of New Hampshire Avenue in response to reports of a gunshot. The police claim to have discovered a male who had been shot there. Subsequently identified as Ronih Murat Pacal, age 40, the deceased was pronounced dead at the location.
Pacal’s relative told WUSA9 that he raced to the scene after receiving a call from Ronih’s roommate.
“It was unfathomable to see his body lying on the ground when I arrived there,” he sobbed, attempting to hold back tears.
According to him, Ronih and his companion were Takoma Towers guests. According to him, the two were approaching Ronih’s vehicle to retrieve his medication when they encountered two suspects.
“They were stopped by two armed individuals wearing masks.” “They requested every item,” he declared.
“They were quite young,” he stated, as reported by his roommate.
According to him, the housemate surrendered everything, but his Ronih attempted to reason with the assailants, who opened fire in response. He claims Ronih was fatally shot three times at the crime site. His wife and two small children survive him. He claims Ronih was frequently in the area while operating a restaurant for work-related reasons. He disclosed to WUSA9 that Ronih intended to return to Turkey on Saturday.
Detectives have refrained from disclosing any details preceding the incident. There are currently no details regarding the suspect or motive. Friends of Ronih have established a GoFundMe page to assist his family with funeral expenses during this trying time. Pascal reportedly departs with his spouse and two small children, aged four and six years.
“Ronih was not merely a victim; he was a devoted father and husband, as well as a friend whose warmth and generosity brightened our lives. We are presently in a position to repay him and his bereaved family. “Every contribution, regardless of magnitude, will have a substantial effect.”
