Police Officer from DC Housing Authority Shot at Navy Yard; Two Suspects in Custody

Mocobizscene- Around 6 a.m. on Feb. 29, authorities reported that an officer got shot in the 400 block of M Street SE. This incident prompted a shelter-in-place order in the vicinity of the Arris Apartments on 4th Street SE. Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Police Department conducted a thorough search in the area.

Police successfully tracked down the suspects and apprehended a man and a woman after a prolonged standoff.

There are pending charges. The incident caused the closure of several roads in the vicinity, resulting in a two-hour delay for a nearby school.
