Police identify Orange County driver-pedestrian fatality

Authorities on Thursday identified the pedestrian who died from injuries sustained in Wednesday night’s accident with a car in Huntington Beach.

Authorities reported that about ten o’clock on Wednesday night, Johnny Lee Davis, 67, of Stockton, was struck and died while crossing Beach Boulevard at Williams Drive.

According to authorities, the driver of the 2021 Tesla Model Y that struck Davis stayed at the site and assisted with the investigation. When the Tesla hit the victim, it was traveling south on Beach.The Huntington Beach motorist, 33,  is not suspected of being inebriated in any manner, according to the police.
