Philadelphia police searching for 2 suspects who robbed a McDonald’s at gunpoint

Early Sunday morning in Philadelphia, two armed suspects robbed a McDonald’s and got away with over $2,000. The incident occurred at around 2:30 a.m. on the 6400 block of Torresdale Avenue, located in Tacony, Philadelphia. According to the authorities, they rushed to the McDonald’s location after receiving reports of an individual carrying a firearm.

Upon their arrival, investigators were informed by the employees that two individuals armed with guns had entered the restaurant through the rear door while one of the employees was out on a break. Police report that the suspects coerced an employee into opening a secured door that required a code to enter the back area. Subsequently, the suspects compelled a store manager to open a locked safe in the back room.

According to officials, the safe was robbed by the two suspects who managed to take away a sum of around $2,500. After the robbery, they fled the scene on foot. The investigation into this incident in Philadelphia is still ongoing, and the police are urging anyone with information to come forward and report it to the authorities.
