Police in the Big Apple reported that one man was shot and another was stabbed in separate acts of violence that occurred overnight.
Police say that shortly after 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, a man was stabbed multiple times in the face and torso subsequent to being attacked by two individuals outside the Silvana restaurant located at 300 West 116th St., Harlem, in the most recent incident.
The NYPD reported that the 39-year-old victim was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in stable condition.
The assailants escaped. No arrests have been made thus far. Live music is featured on the Silvana bar, which is situated at the southwest corner of Frederick Douglass Boulevard and 8th Avenue, according to its website. The bar is typically open until 4 a.m.
The restaurant remained operational on Saturday morning. One worker stated that he was only informed that “someone was injured.”Police report that shortly after 11 p.m. on Friday, a 34-year-old male was shot twice in the left hand and left leg on Bascom Avenue, near Rockaway Boulevard, in Queens.
Police report that the victim was transported to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition. No arrests have been made thus far.
