In Pennsylvania, a doctor has been arrested on several charges, including attempted murder, arson, and ethnic intimidation, in connection with an alleged antisemitic attack. Dr. Amy Cohen, aged 35, allegedly made antisemitic threats and set fire to a home in Lower Merion Township on Thursday, as reported by WPVI.
On November 24, an investigation was initiated by the police after a woman discovered threatening flyers at her residence. These flyers reportedly contained both antisemitic language and threats directed towards the victim’s granddaughters.
According to authorities, the station was informed that one of Cohen’s granddaughters was in a relationship with her ex-boyfriend. The victim’s family members were also given flyers.
Cohen reportedly attempted to accelerate the fire’s spread by utilizing a flammable liquid. Fortunately, the flames subsided and did not extend beyond the front porch.
Cohen was apprehended by investigators on Friday and subsequently brought before the court for arraignment on Saturday. According to FOX 29, she is currently in custody at Montgomery County Correctional Facility with a cash bail set at $5 million.
