Panera Bread is currently facing another lawsuit related to the tragic death of an individual who consumed their caffeinated lemonade. According to the lawsuit, a 46-year-old man from Florida who has a history of high blood pressure experienced a cardiac event after consuming two cups of Panera’s Charged Lemonade.
Panera is conducting a thorough investigation into the labeling of its Charged Lemonade product after a family claimed that a woman from Jersey City died as a result of consuming it.
Panera’s spokesperson conveyed their condolences to Mr. Brown’s family and stated, “After conducting our own investigation, we do not believe that one of our products caused his unfortunate passing. We consider this lawsuit, filed by the same law firm as the previous claim, to be equally baseless. Panera remains confident in the safety of our products.”
In a previous report, the lawsuit was filed by the family of Sarah Katz, a resident of Jersey City. Tragically, Sarah passed away in September 2022 after consuming the beverage. Katz suffered from a heart condition called Long QT Type 1. According to her family, she was unaware that the lemonade contained caffeine.
