Although Westminster police have no information on the suspect, Le believes he may be the same individual who attempted to break into another residence less than two miles away on the same night, based on Ring video captured from the neighbourhood.

“The footage we viewed indicated that he visited multiple locations in a single day,” Le stated.

The suspect, according to the Ring post, had entered the residence briefly to determine whether or not anyone was inside prior to attempting to break in. Eventually departing, light could be seen from within, and a dog began to howl.

Due to the fact that the perpetrator is still at large, Le believes the likelihood of recovering the stolen items is extremely remote. She stated, however, that her family simply desires that the individual be apprehended prior to stabbing another residence.

“In all honesty, it would be fantastic if we could retrieve our belongings; however, at this juncture, we consider it a positive act of karma to ensure that no one is injured or forced to endure this ordeal.”

Le stated that a portion of the stolen funds belonged to the retirement fund of her parents. She stated that her parents had been saving money for years by working six to seven days per week and rarely taking vacations.
