23-Year Prison Sentence Given To Man Who Stabbed And Killed 21-Year-Old

Mocobizscene Last week, officials announced that a man who had confessed to stabbing a 21-year-old in Union County over two years ago has been sentenced to 23 years in state prison. In a recent statement from the Union County Prosecutor’s Office, it was revealed that Alexis Mondesi, a 50-year-old resident of Elizabeth, has pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter.

Mondesi faced legal consequences after being arrested and charged with murder, robbery, and weapons-related offenses. Eventually, he pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter.

According to jail records, Mondesi, a citizen of the Dominican Republic, has been detained at the Essex County jail since October 15, 2021.
