Treme, New Orleans witnessed the tragic deaths of two individuals by gunfire on Sunday evening. At the intersection of Esplanade Avenue and N. Claiborne Avenue was where the incident transpired. A gunshot woundted both victims, and one of them was pronounced deceased at the location.
Although transported to a nearby medical facility, the second victim ultimately expired from their injuries. At this time, no additional information is forthcoming regarding the double homicide, which is under investigation by the NOPD.
