Newark man charged with Wilmington fatal hit-and-run

Mocobizscene- A grand jury indicted an individual from Newark on Monday, January 29, 2024, in relation to a hit-and-run fatality that occurred in Wilmington the previous year.

Everton Ellis, 27, was arrested on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle negligently in a collision that resulted in another person’s death and after leaving the site of the collision.

Following his apprehension on January 31st, Wednesday, he was granted $10,000 in unsecured parole. At 5:45 a.m. on November 27, 2023, Glenn Dupont, age 38, was struck and slain in the vicinity of Monroe Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard.
