Mocobizscene- The relatives of a dismembered man discovered in a Brooklyn apartment of a New York City resident assert that their kin did not engage in drug dealing, despite the New York Police Department associating the homicide with a dispute over narcotics.
“He was an exceptionally good person,” the sibling of Kawsheen Gelzer told the New York Daily News. “He was not a criminal or a drug dealer.” His family had always cared for and cherished him.
Gelzer, age 40, was discovered deceased in the Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn last week. Heather Stines, 45, was accused of concealing a human cadaver subsequent to the removal of Gelzer’s severed body from her freezer.
Stines allegedly resorted to hostility when the police searched her apartment. Furthermore, she claimed that Gelzer was murdered by her spouse, who is presently incarcerated in Virginia. According to WNBC, the victim’s death was ruled a homicide and police suspect a connection to narcotics.
Gelzer was suspected of being a drug distributor and may have been involved in a dispute with Stines and her husband, Nicholas McGee, according to the police.
Additionally, the victim was a charged sexual offender with a prior criminal record. In 2004, he was found guilty of sexually abusing a 12-year-old child, despite the allegations being contested by his brother.
“He is in no way a child molester or anything similar,” he explained to the New York Daily News. “All of those are baseless accusations that were aired years ago.” They are raising an issue from many years ago that is completely untrue.”
Brother of the victim: Gelzer “desired to live his own life” and had not seen his sibling in a number of years, according to the brother.
“He had family members for whom he could have extended support, but he chose not to do so. We were aware that he had vanished. “We issued a report and did everything else,” he explained to the New York Daily News.
“My brother is currently in a stronger position. “That holds the utmost significance.”
