According to recent news, a 19-year-old from Kansas City has been taken into custody for reportedly sexually assaulting a minor while he himself was still a juvenile. The incident took place in Manhattan, Kansas.
According to the latest Riley Co. Police Department Activity Report, Trenton Bunnell, 19, from Kansas City, was taken into custody by law enforcement officials around 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 24, on a warrant issued by the Riley Co. District Court.
According to RCPD, the warrant is a result of an investigation into a rape case that occurred in July 2022.
According to the booking report from Riley Co., Bunnell has been arrested for a heinous crime of rape. The accusation is related to a victim who is under 14 years of age and the offender is under 18 years of age. It is a serious offense, and the legal system will ensure that justice is served.
He is still in prison with a bond set at $75,000, as of Wednesday.
