MPD Requests Public Assistance in Kennedy Street Carjacking Suspect Identification

Mocobizscene- To identify and track down a female suspect in an attempted carjacking, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is requesting assistance from the general public. On February 17, 2024, the event was held on Kennedy Street, Northwest. The suspect entered the running car with the victim inside, requesting that the victim get out while brandishing a knife.

The victim suffered minor injuries while attempting to halt the carjacking. Unable to seize the automobile, the suspect fled on foot from the scene. CCN: 24024909 is the incident’s case number.

The culprit was caught on camera during the incident by surveillance cameras. The MPD is urging anyone with information to come forward and has released images of the suspect. Nonetheless, they have cautioned the public against acting independently.

For information that results in the identification and conviction of the person or people responsible for this terrible crime, the MPD is offering a reward of up to $10,000. This incentive is a component of the District of Columbia Police Department’s continuous efforts to combat violent crime.
