Mother discharged from Newark hospital just in time for son’s first birthday following successful transplant

Mocobizscene- After undergoing a heart transplant, a new mother has been discharged from the hospital in Newark, allowing her to rejoice in her son’s first birthday from the comfort of her own home.

Naiya Atkins received a heartwarming send-off from the staff at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center as she was wheeled out of the hospital on Wednesday. Recovering from the surgery is an important process. After giving birth to her son, Joseph Zion Griffith, in February 2023, she had been in and out of the hospital. She was actually diagnosed with a rare heart condition called Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection, or SCAD.
