Mocobizscene- A mother has been charged in Prince George’s County with her son’s fatal stabbing inside their Lanham home, in a heartbreaking development. The community is in shock and grief following the horrific event that happened last month.
Officers from the Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) were called to the 8000 block of Greenfield Drive early on January 25 in response to reports of a stabbing. When they got there, they saw that Cristos Johnson, 21, had been stabbed. Johnson was taken to the hospital immediately, but his injuries turned out to be fatal.
According to the PGPD’s initial inquiry, there was a domestic dispute that ended fatally. Johnson’s mother, 42-year-old Querida Rivera, is accused by the authorities of carrying out the stabbing. This Wednesday saw Rivera’s arrest, and among other things, he was charged with first-degree murder.
The PGPD urges anyone with information about this terrifying occurrence to come forward as the investigation is ongoing.
