Montgomery County Detention Facility inmate death under investigation by ALEA

Mocobizscene- The Montgomery County Detention Facility is currently under investigation by ALEA following the death of an inmate at the facility, according to WRBL.

On December 21, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office requested an in-custody death investigation into the passing of Mauryce Jackson, a 40-year-old individual. In response, ALEA’s State Bureau of Investigation special agent initiated the investigation.

Jackson passed away at the facility at 10:39 p.m. on Dec. 21. The ALEA is currently conducting an investigation, and the results will be handed over to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.
