Mocobizscene- A woman and a man are currently facing charges for allegedly stealing valuable items from a Best Buy store in Miami.

Authorities have stated that Danielle Lorini, from Coral Springs, is accused of collaborating with Andrew Causa in a scheme to steal merchandise valued at $20,000 from the store located along Bird Road, west of the Palmetto Expressway. The alleged thefts occurred over a period of time starting in September.

On Monday, the two individuals were brought before a judge following their arrest and subsequent charges of grand theft. On Sunday, they were apprehended after being caught on surveillance footage. The video clearly showed them removing items from the shelves and exiting the premises without making any payment.

Lorini, who is a Broward school teacher, has no previous criminal record. It remains uncertain where she was employed at the time. NBC6 has reached out to various educational institutions including the Broward public school district, charter schools, and private schools for further information.

According to prosecutors, Causa has a lengthy criminal record and has previously served time in prison.
