Man Fatally Shot While Strolling His Dog On The Northwest Side

A man walking his dog on the northwest side of Indianapolis was shot on Tuesday night, according to police. Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to the 6400 block of Whitehaven Road at approximately 10:30 p.m., as reported by the department.

A man was discovered with a gunshot wound to his leg. According to the authorities, he was attacked while taking his dog for a walk near his apartment. Injured, the man hurriedly descended the street to seek assistance.

The man was transported to a local hospital, and authorities are currently looking into the incident.
