Man discovered shot in Northeast DC near an elementary school

Monday morning, Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officers discovered a man who had been wounded near Miner Elementary School in Northeast D.C.

MPD said police went to the 1200 block of Raum St. NE after it received a report about the noises of gunshots.In the 1600 block of G Street NE, officers discovered a victim who had been wounded. He was aware and respirating.

The staff at Miner Elementary was not involved in this incident, and the police conducted a safety check with the school’s personnel.
