Long Beach Shooting Leaves Unidentified Suspects on the Run, Victim Injured

Mocobizscene-  A man was wounded in a late-night shooting in Long Beach after a violent altercation turned violent early Saturday morning, according to officials. The Long Beach Police Department stated that the incident took place near the intersection of 2nd Street and Pacific Coast Highway. Officers responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 2:23 a.m. and arrived on the scene.

The Long Beach Police Department’s initial investigation revealed that the victim engaged in a confrontation with two unidentified male suspects before being shot. Following the incident, the suspects successfully fled the scene in a dark-colored sedan and evaded immediate capture.

Local gang detectives are actively investigating the case and collecting evidence, suggesting that there may be underlying factors beyond a mere altercation resulting in a shooting. The Long Beach Police Department is determined in their pursuit of the culprits and assures the public that they are unwavering in their efforts to bring them to justice.
