Mocobizscene-The Long Beach Police Department is seeking the assistance of the public in identifying a suspect who is believed to be connected to two separate assaults that occurred within a span of three hours.
The Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) reported that the initial incident involving a woman and a child in a stroller took place at 9:47 a.m. near 21st Street and Locust Avenue. The incident was classified as an assault with a deadly weapon, as stated in an LBPD release.
Law enforcement officials stated that an unidentified male individual had assaulted the victim using an object of unknown nature. Fortunately, the child did not sustain any injuries during the incident.
The second attack with a lethal weapon took place at 12:27 p.m. near 21st and Pine Avenue, according to authorities. It occurred just two blocks away from the location of the initial assault.
According to the LBPD release, the victim was walking past an unknown suspect when the suspect suddenly struck the victim with an unidentified object during the preliminary investigation.
The suspect, who is believed to be a Hispanic man in his mid-20s, has been described as standing between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 7 inches.
He sported a “peach fuzz moustache” and was dressed in a white hat paired with a turquoise sweater layered over a black hoodie. He completed the look with blue pants and white and black tennis shoes.
