They reported that Junnarkar had injuries to his colon and kidneys. Subsequently, Jersey City police declared Santos Camacho’s arrest on charges of aggravated assault and unlawful weapons possession.

Remaining detained at the Hudson County Correctional Center in Kearny, Camacho is accused of knocking down Junnarkar, beating him, and threatening to murder him. The victim thought Camacho was attacking him with a brass-knuckle knife.

Junnarkar returned to his flat covered in blood, and acquaintances stated he was driven to Christ Hospital in a private vehicle. Later on, Jersey City Medical Center received him.

According to Jersey City spokesperson Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione, police retrieved a knife from the scene. An inquiry was still underway.
