Mocobizscene– Burlington Police have identified the woman who was found dead on Tuesday. Krystal Hope Lopez, a 35-year-old resident of Burlington, has been identified by the police as the victim of a single gunshot wound.
On Thursday, a post-mortem examination was conducted. At around 10 p.m. on Tuesday, the police received a call regarding an unresponsive woman at a residence on Elm Street.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is assisting the Burlington Police Department. According to the police, they previously stated that they had no concerns regarding the public’s safety.
