Four-Month-Old Unharmed in D.C. After Car Thief Left Him on Porch

Mocobizscene- D.C. Police are requesting the public’s aid in identifying a suspect who is believed to be responsible for the larceny of a vehicle that was carrying an infant. The occurrence transpired shortly after 6:00 p.m. in the 3000 block of M Street in Northwest D.C., and was initially documented as a case of child abduction.

The 4-month-old infant was seated in the rear seat of a white Jeep SUV at the time of the photograph. Around an hour later, just prior to the issuance of an Amber Alert, law enforcement received word that the infant had been located in a secure condition.

The car seat containing the infant was abandoned on a veranda in the 2700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast, after the thief removed it. The homeowner discovered the infant girl upon hearing a knock and promptly notified a nearby officer. The infant was miraculously unharmed and was reunited with her mother without delay.
