Mocobizscene- Five individuals, including two teenagers, have been apprehended in relation to an intersection takeover and the unlawful activity of drag racing in northwest Miami-Dade.
Cameron Lomax, a 19-year-old resident of Miramar, found himself among those apprehended on charges related to drag racing. As per an arrest report, Lomax allegedly hit a spectator while performing donuts in a white Corvette at the intersection of northwest 54th Street and 27th Avenue before fleeing the scene.
According to reports, Chelsy Gamez, a 20-year-old, was allegedly occupying the front passenger seat during the incident. Additionally, she is also being charged with drag racing.
Jeariel Garcia, a 21-year-old, was reportedly driving a red Mazda that was engaged in reckless donuts. It is alleged that he came dangerously close to hitting a Miami-Dade police officer with his vehicle before fleeing the scene. Eventually, Garcia was apprehended on the Turnpike and taken into custody.
In court on Sunday, Garcia made an appearance and was denied bond.
Joshua Dalmond, a 22-year-old resident of Miami, has been apprehended due to his involvement in numerous cases of drag racing. He was also found to be operating a vehicle with full knowledge that his license had been suspended.
According to an arrest report, on Saturday, 18-year-old Andres Culp from Plantation was apprehended by officers for engaging in “stunt driving type-techniques” such as performing donuts at northwest 186th Street between I-75 and the Turnpike.
