Mocobizscene- A tragic incident unfolded on Sunday evening on the east side of Indianapolis, resulting in the loss of one life due to a shooting.
According to a media notification from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 5300 block of Butler Terrace after receiving a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, the officers found an individual who had sustained injuries consistent with a gunshot wound.
In a press release issued on Sunday evening at around 9:30 p.m., the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) stated that the victim of the shooting was an adult male. Additionally, the incident took place at an apartment.
IMPD officers were dispatched to the scene around 6:38 p.m., according to the incident reporting system.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office will disclose the deceased individual’s identity as soon as they have notified the appropriate next of kin. Additionally, the MCCO will assist the IMPD in determining the precise cause and manner of the man’s death.
