Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) has reported that a vehicle hit and killed the driver of a self-made go-kart on Friday night.
As the go-kart made its way down Hudson Avenue, east of Sisters Lane, a speeding vehicle recklessly overtook it. It’s worth noting that the go-kart had no lights, which could have contributed to the dangerous encounter.
The go-kart was hit by the oncoming vehicle, which then drove away without stopping. The go-kart driver succumbed to their injuries at the crash site.
