Mocobizscene- New Yorkers are receiving increased protection against EBT fraud. SNAP recipients now have the ability to lock their benefit cards, just like any other debit or credit card.
If you suspect that someone else is using your card, you can take action by using the “Connect EBT” app to lock it. There has been an increase in EBT fraud in certain counties in New York.
The Suffolk County Executive’s Office reports that it sends 250 complaints to the state weekly.
