WASHINGTON– A person was rescued from the water near Capital Cove Marina on Sunday afternoon.
At 2:16 p.m., DC Fire and EMS posted on the X platform that a small sailboat had capsized, leaving one person in the water. Fortunately, a chase boat was able to rescue the individual.
According to the post, fireboats will assist the sailboat in being righted. Fortunately, the individual submerged in the water emerged unharmed.
