Deandre Miles Accused of Murdering Davon Fuller in Washington, DC

Mocobizscene-Authorities have announced that a murder suspect has turned himself in for allegedly shooting and killing Davon Fuller, a former staff member to a DC councilwoman. On Monday, October 16, officials announced that Fuller, 28, who had previously worked for Councilwoman Brianne Nadeau, was tragically killed in the 1500 block of Maryland Avenue NE.

Miles surrendered to authorities on Wednesday, December 27th. During 2018 and 2019, Fuller served as a constituent services representative for Nadeau’s office for a span of two years. Prior to this role, Fuller played football at UMass Dartmouth.

“Davon, a beloved member of our community, had a strong connection to Ward 1 and dedicated himself tirelessly to our office,” expressed Nadeau. “As a caring and proud father of two young children, his untimely death is an immense tragedy. My heartfelt wish is that justice prevails for him.”

Markus Batchelor, an advocate, expressed his grief over Fuller’s passing on social media. Commissioner Kelvin Brown stated that Fuller was not only a caring father but also a dedicated community member who constantly strived to improve the lives of his neighbors.

Fuller’s history in DC has been marked by controversy, including a prior arrest for a shooting incident in 2019. During a dispute in front of a marijuana pop-up in Northeast DC, shots were fired at a man, leading to his arrest. The Metropolitan Police Department provided no further details about Miles or his initial court appearance.
