Mocobizscene-Two children ended up in the hospital following a fire that broke out in an apartment building in D.C. on New Year’s Day. On New Year’s Day, a fire broke out at an apartment building in Washington, resulting in the hospitalization of two children.
A fire broke out in the southeast area on Monday at around 9 p.m., specifically in the 2600 block of Douglass Road.
Six children and four adults were displaced due to the fire, according to officials. Additionally, two of the children required transportation to the hospital for medical reasons unrelated to the incident.
The firefighters successfully contained the fire on the top floor of the three-story apartment. However, the cause of the fire is still unknown.
