Carjacker Pointed Gun and Sped Off After Woman Gave Him All Her Money to Keep Car

GREENBELT, Maryland – Ridge Road Court in Greenbelt was the scene of a carjacking in which an assailant made an attempt to take a white Toyota Corolla. The police were dispatched to the location subsequent to the victim, a newspaper delivery person, providing a statement.

As the victim concluded her newspaper deliveries, the incident transpired. A male suspect in his early twenties was observed laboring to reverse her 2023 Toyota Corolla with the Maryland license plate number 9FH9232. Upon being accosted and offering monetary compensation to avert the theft, the suspect brandished what appeared to be a firearm before fleeing the scene in the vehicle in the direction of Crescent Road.

Despite conducting a survey of the area, Greenbelt Police were unable to locate the suspect. Thankfully, the victim was not injured during the altercation. Authorities continue their inquiry into the carjacking in an effort to obtain additional information.
