RNC: Texas Governor Greg Abbott Claims Trump will Bring Back Order at the Border

Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who has taken extraordinary measures to strengthen border security amidst the ongoing border crisis during the Biden administration, expressed optimism about the possibility of former President Donald Trump being re-elected, stating that he sees “hope on the horizon.”

During his speech at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Governor Abbott expressed optimism for the future, stating, “There is hope on the horizon because come Nov. 5th, Joe Biden will be fired and Donald Trump will once again be the President of the United States of America.”

Abbott declared that the moment has come to bring back stability at the border. The need of the hour is to eliminate disorder and criminal activities from our streets. It is imperative to safeguard our country, and the only way to do so is by reinstating Donald Trump as the President of the United States of America.

During Wednesday evening’s event, border security concerns were brought up and the crowd responded by chanting “Build that wall,” a popular phrase from Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

Starting from the beginning of 2021, there has been a significant increase in illegal immigrant arrests. In response, Governor Abbott has taken action by mobilizing over 10,000 state and local police officers, as well as state National Guard soldiers, to help with border security along the state’s 1,250 miles of shared border with Mexico.

State authorities have spent billions of dollars on their operation, resulting in the arrest of over 512,000 undocumented immigrants. In addition, they have seized over half a billion lethal doses of fentanyl that were smuggled into the state, despite federal authorities’ efforts to prevent such illegal activities.

During the convention, Jim Chilton, a fifth-generation cattle rancher, shared his firsthand experience of the impact of President Joe Biden’s policies on his property. He revealed that since April, over 5,000 illegal immigrants have been captured on outdoor cameras set up on his land. Chilton’s property stretches along five miles of the Arizona border, giving him a unique perspective on the issue of immigration.

Chilton firmly stated that these individuals are not asylum-seekers, and in fact, their arrival gives off the impression of an invasion. “It looks like and feels like an invasion because it is,” he remarked.

Located in the southwestern region of Arizona, Darid Lara is the proud owner of a water purification business.

Lara addressed the GOP attendees and asked them to imagine the horror of strangers invading their homes, yards, and local schools. She went on to paint a picture of a scenario where the fire department had to resort to off-road vehicles to transport their neighbors to the hospital because the ambulances were occupied by individuals claiming to be asylum-seekers.

Tom Homan, the former acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, recently endorsed Trump during a public appearance. During his speech, Homan issued a strong warning about the consequences of a potential second term for illegal immigrants.

Homan confidently declared, “Start packing now, because you’re damn right, you’re going home.”
