Car Crashes Into The Potomac River, Killing A Man

According to DC Fire and EMS, Washington Divers rescued a man from a vehicle in the Potomac River on Friday. He perished later on.

Around 12 a.m., United States Park Police officers were dispatched to Ohio Drive SW in the vicinity of Memorial Bridge in response to reports of a vehicle submerged in water.

Four gunshot wounds and two fatalities occurred near Nationals Park. Crews reported locating and rescuing the individual. He sustained severe injuries. He was transported by medical personnel to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

EMS and DC Fire continued to search the area for additional potential victims. While vessels continued to explore the river, crews continued to inspect the shoreline.
