California City High School was evacuated because of a gas odor

According to police, a strong odor of gas prompted the evacuation of California City High School on Monday.

At 9:35 a.m, a release stated that firefighters were trying to find the origin of the incident that caused the cancellation of classes for the day. Police reported that students and staff were relocated to a secure location on the campus, while school authorities were reaching out to parents and guardians to inform them of the situation.
