Authorities Seeking Two Suspects In Theft Of More Than $26,000 From Elderly Victim In Co-Op City

Last month, two individuals became the subjects of a manhunt after robbing an 81-year-old man in Co-op City and making off with a staggering $26,000.

According to the police, on November 16, while the man was at the Bank of America ATM on Bartow Avenue, two women managed to steal his debit card. Shockingly, they proceeded to withdraw a staggering amount of $26,031.45 from his account. It is truly disheartening to witness such acts of theft and violation of trust within our communities.

Authorities have confirmed that the victim emerged from the incident unscathed.
