Mocobizscene-A man and a woman have been arrested in Baton Rouge for their involvement in four burglaries of businesses in New Orleans, including the burglary of American Police Equipment.
The New Orleans Police Department has reported a series of crimes that took place between January 6 and January 14. Specifically, three of the incidents occurred in the 9000 block of Airline Highway, while the remaining one took place in the 3500 block of Monticello Avenue.
Detectives gathered evidence during their investigation, which included a surveillance video capturing the incident. This valuable information was then shared with neighboring law enforcement agencies.
On January 21, the Baton Rouge Police Department informed NOPD officers about two individuals who were found in possession of items that matched those stolen in the burglary. As a result, an arrest warrant was issued for Benjamine Polasky, 61, and Mindy Bohlander, 43.
NOPD officers reported that they traveled to Baton Rouge to assist in the search of the suspects’ belongings. During the search, they discovered the stolen items.
During the investigation, detectives discovered that the two individuals were reportedly responsible for the burglary at A.P.E. on January 14. The stolen items from the incident included a blue jacket, sweaters, a pair of boots, and flashlights.
The duo is being charged with four counts of being involved in simple burglary. Polasky and Bohlander stay in Baton Rouge until they get relocated to New Orleans.
