Arrest Made in Southern California Burning Car Trunk Murder Case

Mocobizscene- Matthew Switalski was arrested in Kern County at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has booked him on suspicion of murder.

According to neighbors, the woman is believed to be a teacher, and the suspect is thought to be her boyfriend.

Veronica Aguilar, a 27-year-old UCLA graduate and elementary school teacher, has been identified by her family. In order to assist with funeral costs, they have created a GoFundMe page at GoFundMe.me/e834647b.

“My little sister Veronica’s tragic death on December 20, 2023, has been widely covered in the media,” expressed Juan Aguilar, her brother. “We deeply mourn her loss, as our lives will never be the same without her. Veronica was a beacon of positivity, always wearing a smile. Our hearts are shattered, and we are devastated. She was not only a brilliant elementary school teacher and a proud UCLA graduate but also an incredible human being. Together, we can ensure that Veronica receives the dignified funeral she deserves.”

Late Saturday, the GoFundMe page had already amassed over $19,000, edging closer to its $20,000 target.

Mr. Switalski, on the other hand, was detained with a bail amount of $10 million, as per court records. Records from the jail indicate that he had been arrested earlier in May for an undisclosed felony.

According to a report by ABC7, Mr. Switalski used to work for Northrop Grumman.
