Mocobizscene- Indianapolis metro police have apprehended a 24-year-old man following the death of a woman on Christmas morning. IMPD’s X post reported that Sir Brown, Jr. was apprehended in connection with the woman’s death.
On December 25th, at around 5 a.m., officers from the IMPD swiftly responded to a report of shots being fired in the 6600 block of E 52nd Pl. The location of this incident was close to the intersection of E. 56th Street and N. Arlington Avenue.
Preliminary information indicates that there was some sort of disturbance prior to the shooting incident, and a man fled the scene before the arrival of the officers. The relationship between the victim and the suspect remains unclear.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office is currently investigating the specific cause and manner of death. Shania E. Shaw, a 24-year-old, has been identified as the victim.
