According to an official from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, the man stranded in the Everglades was surrounded by alligators, mosquitoes, and other wildlife. The official expressed concern for the man’s thirst, stating that he did not have access to any water.

According to NBC Miami, the pilot, despite having a leg injury, managed to create a tourniquet to prevent excessive bleeding from his leg. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue embarked on a daring mission to carry out a complex rescue operation.

CBS News Miami reported that a rescue team lowered a rescuer from a helicopter and hoisted the pilot from the wing of the plane.

According to a post on X, the Broward Sheriff’s Office reported that he was taken to a nearby hospital. As per the statement of the fire chief of the sheriff’s office, Michael Kane, the pilot was fortunate to have sustained only a minor leg injury.
