Mocobizscene- Prosecutors stated that an elderly man from Washington, D.C. was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of murdering his wife over a pancake dispute.
On Thursday, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia issued a press release announcing that Steven Schwartz, 85, was apprehended on a charge of second-degree murder subsequent to the December 10 stabbing of his wife, Sharron Schwartz, 81.
According to the press release from prosecutors, Schwartz allegedly struck her in the back after she prepared pancakes for him that he declined.
Thursday, the defendant entered a not guilty plea, as stated in the press release. According to the release, a judge “found probable cause” that he “committed the murder” and ordered his apprehension without bond until his preliminary hearing on January 2.
