Police and law enforcement sources reported that an elderly woman’s body was discovered inside a box in her Brooklyn apartment on Friday. The woman’s son was taken into custody after confessing to hitting her.
According to sources and the authorities, a social worker stumbled upon a gruesome scene during a home visit at an apartment located off Rogers Avenue in East Flatbush around 12:15 p.m.
According to the NYPD, a box was where the 67-year-old woman was discovered deceased. Sources indicate that the son, who reportedly suffers from schizophrenia, admitted to striking his mother and was subsequently arrested. It is still unknown what caused the woman’s demise.
