17-year-old charged in teenager’s shooting death in Washington, D.C

According to authorities, a 14-year-old was fatally shot and a teenager from Northwest D.C. is being charged as an adult for the crime. According to police, a 14-year-old was fatally shot by a Northwest D.C. teenager who is now facing charges as an adult.

D.C. police have arrested 17-year-old Lorenzo Thompson on Thursday in connection to the death of Niko Estep from Southeast. Thompson has been charged with Second Degree Murder While Armed as an adult under Title 16.

On November 3, officers discovered Estep with gunshot wounds at the intersection of 14th Street and Fairmont Street in Northwest, leading to the arrest of Thompson.

Unfortunately, Estep passed away after being taken to the hospital for medical attention. According to the police, they discovered another male victim who was also a juvenile in the 1400 block of Fairmont Street. The victim was promptly taken to the hospital for medical attention to treat his injuries.
