Mocobizscene- According to police, they are searching for a lady who may have used pepper spray on a 15-year-old Muslim girl in New York City. The incident happened in the Bensonhurst neighborhood on December 19. Following the attack, the suspect reportedly ran away on foot.
“At 1:50 p.m. the 15-year-old victim was walking in front of 7919 New Utrecht Ave. when she was approached by an unknown individual who made anti-ethnic remarks and pepper sprayed the victim in the face,” the NYC Crime Stoppers wrote on X Tuesday.
The attacker referred to her as a “terrorist” when they were attacking.
Security photos of the alleged attacker, who was carrying a bright blue rucksack dressed in blue pants and a dark hooded jacket, have been made public by the Crimestoppers hotline of the New York City Police Department.
The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is looking into the attack.
