The Biden-Harris campaign wasted no time as they opened up a field office in Douglas County, just a day after President Joe Biden’s highly anticipated news conference.
Ingrid Landis-Davis, a veteran Democrat from Douglas County, believes that despite Joe Biden’s performance in the recent debate, his supporters are still highly motivated.
After the news conference on Thursday night, she shared with Channel 2’s Richard Elliot her belief that Biden had reassured his own party of his capability of being their nominee.
Landis-Davis dismissed the talking of pundits, stating that it appears to be just a bunch of noise. However, Landis-Davis urged the pundits to do a favor and tell people not to vote for Joe Biden to see how the public reacts.
Georgia GOP chair Josh McKoon expressed his appreciation for President Biden acknowledging that former President Trump would have been ready on day one. This comment was in reference to a slip-up made by Biden when he accidentally referred to his vice president as Trump instead of Harris.
McKoon and several other state Republicans are currently in Milwaukee attending their convention.
Elliot was informed by him that Biden’s news conference had convinced him that he is not prepared to serve another four years.
McKoon stated that their nominee is unfit for the presidency and should step down, however, they are refusing to do so. The party is now struggling to determine their next course of action.
During a meeting between Biden’s inner circle and other Democratic senators, Sen. Ossoff confirmed his attendance and expressed his support for the President’s campaign.
According to him, it is crucial for Biden to provide reassurance to moderate and independent voters.
Ossoff emphasized that it is the responsibility of the president and his campaign team to instill confidence in the voters that he is capable of winning the upcoming election and leading the country for another four years from the Oval Office.
On Friday, Biden resumed his campaign trail.
