Shooting Suspect Arrested and Charged With First-Degree Murder

Olutoye Ayorinde, 43, of Silver Spring, was arrested and charged by detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigative Section in connection with a shooting that happened in the 2900 block of Marlow Farm Terrace. On Saturday, February 25, 2023, at about 1:03 a.m., the Montgomery County Emergency Communications Center received many calls for shots fired in the Fairland Road area. After that, police found where the killing happened in the 2900 block of Marlow Farm Road. Officers from the Montgomery County Police officers also went to a nearby hospital to help a person who had been shot but was not in danger of dying.

Shooting Suspect Arrested and Charged With Attempted First-Degree Murder

During their investigation, police learned that Olutoye Ayorinde of Silver Spring was a possible suspect. On Monday, June 12, police got a warrant to arrest Ayorinde on charges of trying to kill someone in the first degree, assaulting someone in the first degree, and having a gun. Ayorinde was taken into custody on Tuesday, June 20, because of this arrest order. A search order for Ayorinde’s home was carried out, and a stolen gun was found there. He is being held without bond at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
